(H003) Bowl -  Color Chart A few days ago I handed a lump of clay to a man who was watching me sculpt.  As I watched, unbeknownst to him, he started to form a bowl, with his left hand, although he is right-handed.  I ponder, is there something about clay - all kinds of clay - that says: "I want to be a bowl".  Seems as if there is a universal template out there for all of us who touch a lump of clay to do a bowl. (H004) Buffalo - Color Chart "Miracle", a tiny white buffalo, was born on a farm in Wisconsin in 1995.  According to Native American prophecy, this event is the precursor of peace for our world.  So naturally, shaping the buffalo form is an act of peace too. The base I create from the same clay without a mold so every one is unique.

(H005) Cobra - Color Chart Snakes, especially poisonous ones such as the cobra, are often hated, maligned, and seen as Evil personified.  But I think all life needs to be respected and appreciated for its place in the Web of life.  The cobra is a valuable actor on the world stage keeping balance.  The cobra I created came out of this matrix of thought.
